How it works

How a scrap metal trade works on Zairon

A trade starts with a listing and ends with a payment. Everything in between uses the details you entered at the start.

The four steps

  1. 1. The lot

You list the scrap metal with its material, assay, weight and specification. Zairon checks these before the lot goes on the market, so a buyer sees a listing they can rely on.

  2. 2. The filing

Zairon fills in the Annex VII form from the lot and files it through DIWASS, the EU's digital waste shipment system. Nobody retypes it into a PDF.

  3. 3. The contract

The price formula and the terms are fixed when both sides sign. If the delivered metal falls outside the agreed tolerance, the contract already says what happens next.

  4. 4. The payment

The buyer pays into an account held by a regulated payment provider. When the weight and assay are checked on arrival, the provider releases the money to you. Zairon never holds client money.
